    The Saturday edition of Athens' dailies at a glance

    The global financial crisis and the Vatopedi Monastery property transactions scandal were the main front-page items in Saturday's dailies.

    ADESMEFTOS TYPOS: "Government's opening to the people - 16 government cadres touring the provinces for examination of local problems".

    APOGEVMATINI: "Sweeping changes in the public sector - Deep-rooted reorganization of the operation system of the state services".

    AVGHI: "Bring National Bank, ATEbank, Postal Savings Bank back to the public sector - Alavanos: State supervision of banks to be fortified" under the state's bank support program.

    AVRIANI: "Profiteers razing the banks and dragging the stockmarket down, despite the positive climate on all the international capital markets".
