  • [01] PASOK on developments in Siemens issue

Main opposition PASOK party alternate spokesperson Maria Karaklioumi, referring on Wednesday to developments in the Siemens issue, said that "in PASOK's funds, as also appears from the statement by Costas Geitonas, the person responsible for the party's finances at the time and from evidence at our disposal and that has been checked by Parliament, nothing relevant appears."

Karaklioumi added that "the so-called 'agreements' between the two parties on the C41 issue are absurd to say the least."

She further said that "we have repeatedly requested with proposals made by us in Parliament the full probing of all the aspects of all corruption cases. We did the same with the Siemens issue three times, tabling an equal number of proposals on the setting up of a Factfinding Committee. The leadership of the New Democracy party refused again all three times."

Karaklioumi concluded by saying that PASOK's position on any case harming public interest is clear, everything must come to light.
