    The Saturday edition of Athens' dailies at a glance

    The political uproar following Anastasios Mantelis' admission of taking Siemens slush funds, main opposition New Democracy's demand that former premier Costas Simitis be summoned to testify before Parliament and ND leader Antonis Samaras' denouncement of two former ministers implicated in scandals, dominated headlines in Athens dailies on Saturday.

    ADESMEFTOS TYPOS: "Roussopoulos and Voulgarakis out. Statement by Antonis Samaras".

    APOGEVMATINI: "Charge for the land registry scandal as well. New 'bill' on the way for 2.5 million owners".

    AVGHI: "They are setting up a 'Pool of Siloam' for the scandals. [Prime Minister George] Papandreou and Samaras state that they will not answer for the scandals and corruption that sealed the former governments of PASOK and ND".

    AVRIANI: "The noose around Simitis tightens while ND demands he answer to the examining committee after Mantelis' deposition, which points to the hard core of his closest associates".

    ELEFTHEROS: "Deep stab for Thrace from Kallikratis. They are joining historic municipalities for the election of a Muslim mayor"
