  • [01] ASE opening: Decline

    Equity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Friday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.43 percent, standing at 1,495.37 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 6.327 million euros.

    All individual sector indices were mixed with the biggest gains in Insurance, up 1.60 percent; and Financial Services, up 1.24 percent.

    The biggest losses were in Travel and Recreation, down 1.40 percent and in Health, down 0.92 percent.

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.18 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.38 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.78 percent.

    Of the stocks traded, 32 were up, 19 were down, and 20 were unchanged.
