Vassilaki) - European Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas on Monday confirmed the resumption of the negotiations on the Greek programme. "Building on the progress already recorded in the negotiations, the institutions continue the deliberations in order to pave the way for the conclusion of the second programme review as soon as possible," Schinas underlined. According to an EU source, the aim is to achieve the best possible progress ahead of the Eurogroup on April 7 while the return of the institutions is not likely before that day. The same source said that although there are important delays, there are some irrational demands on the table of the negotiations that do not allow the conclusion of the review. [03] Cafeteria owner allegedly involved in brutal beating of student received extension to testify to the prosecutor A 42-year old member of extreme right party Golden Dawn (Chryssi Avghi) alleged to be involved in the brutal beating and injury of a university student last Friday asked and received and extension to testify to the prosecutor on Wednesday.
