Kotzias said the two ministers discussed the Cyprus issue and of course Britain's decision to exit the European Union. "With Boris Johnson we discussed the Cyprus issue, including fair and smart solutions to abolish interventional rights and achieve the withdrawal of troops," he said. On Brexit, the Greek minister said the process must be orderly and done in a climate of friendship and not vindictiveness, so that the United Kingdom may remain close to the EU. He said the negotiations must aim to minimize losses and maximize the opportunities it offers. On his side, Johnson said the United Kingdom and Greece aim at intensifying bilateral relations after Brexit. [02] Art Nouveau exhibition at Benaki Museum until May 21 An exhibition on the Art Nouveau movement, featuring select items from a museum in Karlsruhe, Germany opened its doors to the public at the main building of the Benaki Museum in Athens on Thursday. The exhibition, entitled "Art Nouveau: From the collections of the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe," was arranged in the framework of a cooperation agreement signed by the Greek culture ministry and the Baden-Württemberg ministry for science, research and the arts. It aims to display significant aspects of the Art Nouveau movement, from France, Germany, Austria, England and Belgium. According to the Benaki Museum, it includes a wide variety of representative exhibits, such as textiles, jewellery, tableware, decorative objects, furniture, prints, ceramics, reliefs and sculptures, designed by famous artists/designers, like Álfons Mucha, Hector Guimard, Daum Frères, Emile Gallé, Peter Behrens, Josef Hoffmann, Josef Maria Olbrich, Koloman Moser, Henry van de Velde, and "provides a kaleidoscopic image of the complex character of the Art Nouveau." The exhibition is held at the Benaki Museum main building in Kolonaki (Koumbari 1) and was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, with Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou attending. It is scheduled to run until May 21. Information on tickets and opening times is available on the museum's website www.benaki.gr [03] Children refugees shown around the Acropolis Museum Forty children refugees from the center of Schistos visited the Acropolis Museum on Thursday and were shown around the exhibits and the sculptures, the culture ministry said. The children were welcomed by Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou and the museum's President Dimitris Pandermalis, who explained some of the items they were going to see. The tour was made by archaeologists who told the children about the daily life in Anciant Athens, the Parthenon and the history of the museum. The visit is part of the ministry's collaboration with the Swiss cultural organization Flux Laboratory, the UN's Refugee Agency and the International Children's Network.
