Skourletis: We will seek a solution that will include the debt Interior Minister Panos Skourletis expressed the opinion that "in Greece's case, the effort of some extreme circles to impose a different model in Europe is now evident" in an interview on Monday with Athens Macedonian News Agency. On the occasion of German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble's aggressive statements, Skourletis noted that some forces appear to have different plans for Europe's future. "We will try to find a solution that will include the Greek debt" he said referring to the imminent Eurogroup meeting. "We know what we want and based on this we will move and we will go, if needed, to the EU Summit". Asked if it is necessary the political leaders to meet in order to agree on a national line on the debt, he said that it is an institutional procedure "which we should seek in some cases and when the appropriate conditions have been formed". [02] Institutions give green light for establishment of Development Bank The procedures for the establishment of a Development Bank started as the institutions gave the relevant approval on Monday. According to Finance Ministry sources the bank's funding will not come only from national sources but eurozone's development banks will also participate while in order the operation of the bank to start as soon as possible there will be technical support from four other similar banks. The German KFW, the French National Development Agency, the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti from Italy and the British Business Bank are the four banks that will offer their support. Economy Minister Dimitris Papadimitriou is planning to visit Germany in the following weeks to discuss the matter with KFW officials. The Greek Finance Ministry aims the development bank to become an 'umbrella' which will include organisations subject to the Finance Ministry which are responsible for the strengthening of the extroversion and the attraction of investments. Moreover, under the bank's umbrella will be the EU funds and Finance Ministry's advisory services. The bank will be linked with the national, European and interbank funding without however taking any risks for the state funds. Greece was the only eurozone country without a development bank. [03] Elections are the only solution, ND parliamentary spox Dendias says The country can't bear phenomena of fear of existence anymore, stated main opposition New Democracy (ND) parliamentary spokesman Nikos Dendias to Athens Macedonian News Agency on Monday. Asked if Greece will finally succeed to have a comprehensive agreement on the debt before the German elections he said "The linking of the debt with the review was a mistake". Moreover, Dendias estimated that "the government's actions in the last days and the extension of the uncertainty do not assist the goal of the country exit to the capital markets". On the early elections or ecumenical government scenarios Dendias said to ANA that "elections are the only solution" and called "the government and Tsipras, if they can't cope with their responsibilities, to resign". Finally, asked if there are populism phenomena in his party he said "If we want to be realistic we must admit that it would be impossible in such a big party as ND not to have such phenomena".
