    GSEE ( Greek General Confederation of Labor) and ADEDY (Greek Confederation of Civil Servants) are staging a 24-hour strike on Tuesday in protest against the governments financial and social security reforms. Employees in the private and public sector as well as DEKO (Public Utility Organizations) are called to participate in the strike. Journalists, POSPERT, teachers, doctors, dockworkers, state hospitals staff while Greek Power Corporation employees will occupy the companys headquarters till tomorrow.

    Commuters will face problems with mass transport as the electric and suburban trains are joining in the 24-hour strike while the metro, tram, trolley and blue buses are staging work stoppages. In the meantime, representatives of Metro employees are meeting today to decide on whether to continue or not mobilizations announced till the end of the week following the Athens Court ruling their mobilizations illegal and abusive.
