    [02] The developments in the European Union and bilateral relations between Greece and Italy were at the center of discussions today between Prime Minister Simitis and the president of Italy Carlo Angelio Ciampi-who is on the second day of his official visit to Greece.

    [07] Prime Minister Simitis is examining the final details of the government's proposals concerning the changes in the electoral law system that are expected to be ratified tomorrow by the governmental committee.

    [12] 54 year old Haralambos Nenoglou lost his struggle for life last night at the intensive care unit of the Interbalkan Hospital in Thessaloniki following a 5 hour operation for the implant of a mechanical heart. The operation was performed as a result of the patient's severe heart failure.
