    Blood was shed today during the transportation of a 30 years old drug user in the police department of Sidnos. The man who had been arrested for robbery was to be driven to the police department for id identification. During his transportation he managed to escape and grabbed the gun of the police officer who was guarding him. Then he tried to escape. EL.AS police cars were chasing him. At some point he went on a bus where in cold blood he shut and killed the 60 years old bus driver and then abandoned him. After that he stopped a car and got in after threatening the driver that he would kill him. The chase continued West of Thessaloniki where the criminal kept as hostage a man after barging into his house. Finally he was arrested in Neo Kordelio area and he is now being interrogated. The police officers were suspended from duties.

    According to MARK gallop conducted foe "Ethnos tis Kyriakis" newspaper, New Democracy is on the lead with 31,6%, PASOK follows with 29%. SYRIZA is on the third place, 15,6%, KKE gathers 7,7% and LAOS 3,6%. The Prime Ministers popularity is risen up to 8,4 points while PASOK presidents popularity is up 0.8%, due to the stance he adopted in the Skopje issue and to the cooperation between Greece-Russia. In addition, the poll records the people discomfort as far as high prices of products are regarded while their stances regarding OTE shares buy out, are also negative.
