KKE secretary general Mrs. Papariga accused the government as well as the opposition party from Larissa where she gave a press conference. More specifically, she said that her party opposes the two big political parties; New Democracy and PASOK.

She noted there can only be an effective anti popular movement if people are disobedient and undisciplined to the European Union. She added that this movement must intervene in every day life and must make clear that the fight is against monopolies and imperialism.

At the same time, KKE Central Committee announced that "within the framework of its general effort to improve its leading role, to improve the partys intervention so as to respond to the needs of the political fight, it decided on changes in the distribution of its members".
