[01] Strike with Work Stoppages on Transport Means
GSEE (Greek General Confederation of Labour) and ADEDY (Supreme
Administration of Greek Civil Servants Trade Unions) are launching a
general strike on Wednesday, 10 December, in protest to the high cost
of living, taxes, unemployment and the cut of social benefits.
A rally will be held on that day at Pedion tou Areos, followed by a
march to the Hellenic Parliament. Due to the strike, the Means of
Public Transport will hold work stoppages from 08:00 and 22:00 until
the end of their shift. Olympic Airlines and the Suburban Rail will
hold a 24-hour strike.
Meeting on Labour
GSEE's Labour Institute is staging a meeting at 16:00 on Monday 8
December on 69, Patision Street on "Labour under the prism of the
Economic Theory". The meeting is being held on the occasion of the
presentation of the Cooperation text UADPhilEcon-ÉÍÅ/ÃÓÅÅ on the same
subject.
