Metro services to the Athens International Airport will be suspended for six months, starting from 14 February, until works for the station platforms Holargos and Agia Paraskevi districts are completed. Public Works Minister Giorgos Souflias visited Wednesday morning the work sites. Measures had been taken in collaboration with the Transport Ministry, said Souflias, to facilitate passengers.

Noting that the suspension of the services would hamper transport, Souflias put it down to the fact that a station in Agia Paraskevi had not been planned. He also said that that there would be a car parking at the Agia Paraskevi station.
