A draft-bill on labour market and several other forms of flexible labour will be submitted to Parliament at the end of January, while the provisions for the enhancement of the Labour Inspectors Body and the curtailing of undeclared employment will be announced a month later, said Employment Minister Andreas Loverdos, answering a question posed by SYRIZA head Alexis Tsipras. Tensions ran high with Alexis Tsipras accusing the ruling Socialists of feeding the strategy followed by the former conservative rule. Loverdos replied that holding the government responsible for the situation is not fair, further stressing that the former government left disorganised labour relations in its wake.

"The problem is not the existence of various forms of partial employment but their being abused," stressed the Employment Minister, also underlining that the Employment Ministry does not create unemployment, nor jobs, but it has welcomed the phenomenon caused by other policies.

"The anti-labour laws will either be abolished or the exploitation regime will go on," stressed Tsipras. News item: 32004
