Graff Executive Director, Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit, Bishop John of Amorion, Bishop Dimitrios of Xanthos, Father Nicholas Triantafilou, president of Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and esteemed clergy in celebrating Divine Liturgy at St Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine on 41 St George St in St Augustine Florida. The faithful will remember the Feast Day of St Photios the Great, 9th century patriarch of the Orthodox See of Constantinople while celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the dedication of St Photios Shrine. Matins will begin at 9:00 a.m. on February 4 in the St Photios Chapel. His Eminence will arrive that morning via the City Gates of St Augustine, process down St George Street where he will be greeted by his clergy and begin the Services of Divine Liturgy. A reception will follow within the Constantine Sisters Courtyard and all are invited to attend St Photios National Shrine Day Luncheon at the Casa Monica Hotel at 1:30.

Archbishop Demetrios, primate of the Greek Orthodox Church in America and President of St Photios National Shrine will be the keynote speaker. At that time, Gus J James II will receive the St Photios Award on behalf of AHEPA in recognition of their 75 years of philanthropic commitment and dedication to honoring the Greek settlers of the 1768 New Smyrna Colony. Volunteers of the Year, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Peterson of St Augustine will receive recognition for their years of service to the Shrine and particularly for their part in the success of Greek Landing Day 2006.
