Athanasios Orphanides, Visiting Professor, Department of Economics and Sloan School of Management, MIT; Former Governor, Central Bank of Cyprus (2007--2012)

Dr. Orphanides is a distinguished economist, who after an outstanding career on the staff of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System became the first governor to lead the Central Bank of Cyprus when Cyprus joined the European Monetary Union.
