Project: Molecular Biology of prion diseases

Project Description: The project is a collaboration between seven laboratories in Europe. Senior researchers, many postdoctoral fellows and graduate student will participate. Prof. T. Sklaviadis at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is a participant who is in charge for the study of the physiological role and distribution of PrP protein in subneuronal populations. He is also in charge together with Dr. Anna Mitraki in the Institute of Structural Biology, Grenoble to study the expression and the folding pathways of PrP protein.

Description: The postdoctoral fellow must have experience in molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, in vitro protein expression and in situ hybridization. Part of the work will be performed in Institute of Structural Biology, Grenoble France.
