[02] ALBANIAN-GREEK AGREEMENT ON SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT APPROVED

TIRANA, JUNE 24 (ATA)- By R. Floqi, The Council of Ministers, presided by Premier Aleksander Meksi, took a series of decisions, the most important of which was the approval of the agreement between the Albanian government and the Greek one on seasonal employment of the labour power.

"In case of lack of labour power, in order to meet the local character demands of the internal market, the contracting parties take the appropriate measures to employ citizens of the other party, after information on employment possibilities has been exchanged", the agreement says.

The agreement regulates in detail the rights and obligations of the people considered seasonally employed. The organizational procedures are defined in the two supplements of the agreement.

The ministers also agreed to the draft-laws for the ratification of the agreement between the Albanian and Italian governments on cooperation in defence and the agreement between the Albanian and Israeli governments to encourage and defend mutual investments. jz/lm/k

[03] ALBANIAN GENERALS END VISIT TO GERMANY

    TIRANA, JUNE 24 (ATA)-By F.Vladi,

Albanian generals have successfully ended an intensive 10 day visit to Germany, during which they were familiarised with the experience of the German army, the Defence Ministry spokesman reported on Monday.

The visit was part of the joint military agreement between Albania and Germany. The Bundeswer's activity with the Albanian generals is the first of this kind and serves the reformation and modernisation of the Albanian army.

The Albanian generals delegation visited the Ministry of Defence in Bonn, to Koblensk in the Interior Command Center, the German Land Forces Leading Staff and the Command Academy in Hamburg.

The Albanian generals also attended several trainings including the three day command staff training, the fifth tank division in Hajzenah and that in the tankers' school in Munster to see how Staff exercises were organised, planned and run and to further enhance professionalism to achieve the NATO army standards.

The working visits of the Albanian generals to Berlin and to the fourth corps in Potsdam were a rich experience for the process of the Albanian army reformation and modernisation.

In Hamelnburg the Albanian militaries familiarised themselves with a very special activity, the measures taken by Bundeswer for the training of the Albanian troops, which, in the IFOR framework, will join the German troops in the implementation of the peace plan in Bosnia.

The generals also met with the deputy chief of the General Staff, Admiral Franke, as well as with the commander of the German Land Forces Leading Staff.

The also attended the ceremony on the 40th anniversary of the Land Forces Officers School in Hanover, accompanied by German Defence Secretary of State Wichert.

During the meetings the participants expressed support for the victory of the Albanian democratic forces in the May 26 elections and the commitment to further promote relations and cooperation between the Albanian army and Bundeswer. s.sh/kei/lm/k
