Tsivicos notes that the so-called "university" is located in the occupied areas of Cyprus and the premises it operates from are the legal property of a Greek Cypriot refugee family. Tsivicos makes an extensive reference to the results of the Turkish invasion and occupation of the island's northern third since 1974.
