    Nicosia, Mar 27 (CNA) -- According to the Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport, the weather forecast for Cyprus is:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 28/03/2000 to 29/03/2000

    Sunny with light breezes and with the temperature fluctuating between 10C (min) and 22C (max).

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 30/03/2000 to 31/03/2000

    Continuing sunny with light breezes and with the temperature rising as to fluctuate between 12C (min) and 24C (max).

    Sea temperature: 18C

    [02] President Clerides - US Ambassador

    Nicosia, Mar 27 (CNA) -- US Ambassador in Nicosia Donald Bandler has stressed the need to have more substantive talks on all the four core issues relating to the Cyprus question and see more intense exchange of views on the overall shape of a settlement in Cyprus.

    The Ambassador also said that direct negotiations are not on the cards at present, but eventually there will have to be direct exchanges between the Greek and Turkish Cypriot sides and expressed the view that the current differences in views between them can be bridged.

    1420:CYPPRESS:03 Government Spokesman - 6-year-old - Donors Nicosia, Mar 27 (CNA) -- Government Spokesman, Michalis Papapetrou, said today that the response of Turkish Cypriots to pleas for help to find a suitable bone marrow donor for 6-year-old Greek Cypriot Andreas Vassiliou indicates that a new dynamic is being created among citizens, promoting solidarity, which is considered to be very positive for improving the climate on the island.

    Papapetrou said that the government is aware of the telephone communication between the Foreign Ministers of Greece and Turkey, George Papandreou and Ismail Cem, respectively, regarding the young boy's case, adding that "every response in this humanitarian issue is positive".

    [05] Palestinian Airlines - Gaza - Larnaca - Direct Flights

    by Maria Chrysanthou Nicosia, Mar 27 (CNA) -- Cyprus has once again proved to be the bridge between the Middle East and Europe, with Larnaca airport the first European airport to which newly-founded Palestinian Airlines have established direct flights.

    "We are very glad to be here today", Chairman of Palestinian Airlines Fayez Zaidan, told CAN on arrival at Larnaca airport on the inaugural flight from Gaza to Larnaca on Sunday, pointing out that "this route is opening a window and a wide gate for the Palestinians to come to Cyprus but also to Europe".
