This was the message the two world renown professors, Giorgio Croci working at the monastery and Saleh Lamei Mostafa at the Tekke, who have undertaken this arduous task, have conveyed during a presentation to outline the work in this project, which began about two years ago at an estimated cost of five million dollars. President Glafcos Clerides will address the nation in a televised message on the eve of the invasion. The purpose of all the events is to protest and condemn the continuing illegal occupation of the island's northern areas and to reiterate the people's resolve to work even harder for justice and peace. Memorial services will take place for those killed during the military coup, engineered by the then junta ruling Greece, and during the Turkish invasion. Sirens will sound at 0815 on 15 July when the coup started and 0530 on 20 July when Turkey launched its offensive against Cyprus.
