Technical committees working on Annan plan finalise over 50 laws

Nicosia, Mar 13 (CNA) - The technical committees, established to work on several aspects of the Annan plan for a Cyprus settlement, have finalised over 50 laws out of the 118 that need to be agreed upon.

Robert Dann, Assistant of the UN Secretary General's Special Adviser for Cyprus Alvaro de Soto, said today during a press conference that the committees aim at finalising various parts of the plan that are still blank and look into certain aspects from the technical point of view, in order to make their recommendations that are subject to the approval of the leaders of both communities in Cyprus.
