[01] GREEK AND CYPRIOT DEFENCE MINISTERS - MEETING
The cooperation between Cyprus and Greece on a bilateral and European
level, especially within the framework of the Common Foreign and
Security Policy, as well as Turkeys European prospects, were discussed
during a meeting in Athens between Cypriot Defence Minister Phivos
Klokkaris and Greek National Defence Minister Evagelos Meimarakis.
We have confirmed the excellent cooperation between the governments of
Greece and Cyprus at all levels, Meimarakis said after the meeting.
As regards Turkeys accession course, Meimarakis underlined the Greek
wish for stability and security in the region.
