[01] COMMISSIONER VASILIOU - EP HEARING
Cypriot Commissioner, Androula Vassiliou, will hold a hearing in the
European Parliament on Tuesday, 1st April 2008, organized by the
Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee.
The newly appointed Commissioner will answer questions from MEPs
regarding her political career, her views on the European Union and her
plans as regards public health and consumer protection.
It is expected that the hearing will also be attended by MEPs of the
Agriculture Committee and the Internal Market and Consumer Protection
Committee.
Vassiliou replaces Markos Kyprianou who participates in the newly
elected government of Cyprus as Foreign Minister.
