The excellent relations between Cyprus and Israel were underlined
during talks on Wednesday between Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs
Marcos Kyprianou and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign
Affairs of Israel, Avigdor Lieberman.
In his remarks after talks, Kyprianou expressed his satisfaction over
the meeting, noting that it was an opportunity to review various areas
of common interest. Relations between Cyprus and Israel are excellent
and we discussed issues which will help further this cooperation, he
said.
Kyprianou also said that although we have good economic and trade
relations, there is an opportunity to enhance them even further. The
Cypriot FM said we have opened a constructive dialogue with Israel on
all issues, both political, practical and economic and even on issues
which we do not share the same views, we can have a very honest and
frank discussion on them.
