    The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism organised a business forum in Israel on Tuesday, with the participation of over 150 businesspeople.

    According to a CCCI press release, the Cypriot mission, with 68 members from 49 business organisations, was ``the second largest ever abroad, which proves the huge interest for the development of financial relations.``

    The Cypriot mission represented most of the sectors of economic activity, mainly professional services, as well as construction, investments, agriculture, trade, tourism, research and technology.

    CCCI President Manthos Mavrommatis called on the Israel investors to utilise the opportunities available in promising sectors of the Cypriot economy, and in infrastructure projects. The forum was also addressed by President of the Republic of Cyprus Demetris Christofias.

    [02] CYPRUS SPORTS AND HEALTH MEETING

    The Cyprus Sports Organisation will host between 17-18 March, the 10th meeting of the European Working Team ``Sports and Health``.

    A total of 25 delegates from European states (Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, France, the Czech Republic, Greece, Cyprus, Croatia, Germany, Denmark, Portugal, Austria and Hungary) will participate in the meeting, which will be chaired by a delegation of the European Commission.

    The meeting will also be attended by representatives of the European Non Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO), the World Federation for Sports for All (TAFISA) and the European Network Sport for All (ESFAN).

    Among the issues to be discussed will be European sports policy, sports activities and health, European directions on sports activities and cooperation between sports organisations in the field of health improvement through sports.
