[01] Israeli Prime Minister thanks Clerides for pardoning Israelis
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak yesterday welcomed the release by
President Clerides of two Israelis jailed for approaching a restricted
military area in Cyprus..
A statement issued by Barak's office says the Cyprus President's gesture "
is greatly appreciated by the Israeli public, and will promote the good
relations between Israel and Cyprus".
