    [01] Announcement by the Ministry of Interior on SARS

    The Ministry of Interior has announced that in relation to the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), the Philippines have been removed from the World Health Organization's list of countries which have been affected by SARS. Consequently, from 21 May 2003, citizens of the Philippines who have visas to work in Cyprus or to visit Cyprus will be allowed entry to the island. Moreover, Philippine citizens, on entering Cyprus will not have to go through the precautionary checkups for the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
