[01] Onassis Foundation Fellows organise jazz concert in Athens

The Association of Fellows of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit
Foundation is organising a concert by Dimitris Vasilakis' Jazz Quartet,
which will take place in the atrium of the Book Arcade (Stoa Vivliou)
at Stadiou and Pesmatzoglou streets on Saturday, June 23.
The Jazz Quartet is made up of Dimitris Vasilakis on saxophone, Georgos
Kontrafouris on piano, Georgos Georgiadis on double bass and Georgos
Polychronakos on drums. They will be accompanied by singer Karen
Solomon.
The group will play a repertoire of jazz standards, classic jazz pieces
by Duke Ellington and Herbie Hancock, latin and bossa nova compositions
by Antonio Carlos Jobim and a selection of blues and spirituals.
The concert will begin at 9:30 p.m. and entrance is free.
