MONTREAL (ANA-MPA) -- Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper stressed that his country supports a coordinated effort aimed at the stabilisation and recovery of the Greek economy and pointed out that Canada and Greece can cooperate for the completion of the EU-Canada Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

In an interview with ANA-MPA on the occasion of his first official visit to Greece on May 28-29, the Canadian premier underlined the great importance of bilateral relations and praised the achievements of the Greek-Canadian community.

While in Greece, Harper is also scheduled to visit the town of Kalavryta to pay tribute to the Greeks slain by Nazis forces on Dec. 13, 1943 during the World War II occupation.
