    Sunny weather is forecast in all parts of the country, with scattered cloud from early evening. It may rain in Epirus, eastern Macedonia and Thrace and in the mountains of the western mainlands and Thessaly. Winds west-northwesterly, light, turning moderate at sea. Sunny in Athens, with temperatures between 17C and 30C. Sunny in the morning in Thessaloniki, with scattered cloud and possibly rain from evening and temperatures from 14C to 27C.

    [02] Simitis to discus Greek-Chinese cooperation

    The possibility of cooperation between Greece and China in view of the Greek Presidency in the European Union and the staging of the 2004 Olympic Games will be examined by Prime Minister Costas Simitis and the Chinese leadership in Beijing today.

    Mr Simitis will meet with the Chinese President Zian Ze Min and Prime Minister Zu Ro Zink, while bilateral relations are expected to be signed.

    Menwhile, the President of the Hellenic Republic Costantinos Stephanopoulos will beginning a five-day visit to Australia as of Tuesday.

    [03] Health Minister to abandon politics after next Parliamentary elections

    In and interview with the Greek newspaper &#8220;Kathimerini tis Kyriakis&#8221;, Health Minister Alekos Papadopoulos states that he intends to withdraw from political life after the next Parliamentary elections. However, he will stay in his position to complete the reform in the Health sector until then. From their side, government circles have expressed their conviction that the Health Minister will change his mind.

    Renowned actress Kakia Analyti, wife of famous actor Costas Rigopoulos died yesterday of heart attack Her funeral will be held at Paleon Phaliron cemetery tomorrow.
