[02] November 17 alleged terrorists to stand trial
After reviewing prosecution indictments, the Athens Court of Appeal
Council decided to send to trial on terrorist charges, all 18 alleged
members of the November 17 terrorist organisation but said they could
not be tried for attacks or murders committed before 1982. The
three-judge court said all but one of the 18 must stay in jail pending

has repeatedly protested his innocence.
Members of the political and social rights movement yesterday marched
to the Koridallos prison as an indication of support for the only woman
suspect, 40-year old Aggeliki Sotiropoulou, who is in the 20th day of
hunger strike , demanding the same conditions of detention as other
