 EU President Greece calls on an emergency summit meeting on MondayGreece, currently holding the six month rotating EU Presidency has called on an emergency EU summit to take place on Monday after UN weapons inspectors Hans Blix and Mohamed ElBaradei deliver their report to the UN Security Council. Greece has warned that the Community risked entering a period of deep crisis if it failed to adopt a common stance on Iraq and reaffirm the position taken at the last General Affairs Council..
The Greek Communist party and the Coalition of the Left have accused the government and the ND party of using double language in the Iraq issue , maintaining that both parties agree in substance with the American policy .

 Search for 4 missing persons in ambulance helicopter crash fruitlessSearch continues for the 4 missing persons aboard the Augusta Bell ambulance helicopter which crashed few miles before landing at the Icaria island airport . A Supreme Court Prosecutor has ordered an in depth investigation into the case and review of the files of two previous accidents involving the same kind of helicopters.
In the meantime, doctors and medical personnel of the air ambulance service have decided to board only on military helicopters and aircrafts to collect patients from remote islands.

 Weather starts gradually improving tomorrowExtreme weather conditions with low temperatures, storms and snowfall still prevail in Greece while weather is expected to start gradually improving as of tomorrow.
Tens of remote villages remain cut off while snow tires are necessary in most parts of the road network in west Macedonia and the central regions of the country.
Due to gale force winds coastal ships are banned from sailing from the ports of Rafina and Pireus
