The pension bill will be submitted Monday to the Court of Audit and then to Parliament so that it can be put to vote in early July. "The changes in the labour relations mean to increase employment among the young below 25 and to shield employees aged more than 55 from getting fired," Employment Minister senior official Rovertos Spyropoulos told NET radio station. SYRIZA (Coalition of the Radical Left) Alexis Tsipras sent a letter to the President of the Republic urging him to wait for the opinion of the Council of State before signing the presidential decree. In the meantime, Greece's major umbrella unions for the private and public sector, GSEE and ADEDY respectively, will hold a 24-hour nationwide strike on 29 June. PAME, the unionists affiliated with the Greek Communist Party, will go out on strike on 23 June.
