The dept. of informatics in Athens Economic & Business University has two openings for Ph.D. students in the area of Data Mining & Knowledge Discovery. The positions are funded and are available on Jan 1st 2000.

The Ph.D. student will work in a research environment participating in a team working in the area of data mining & knowledge discovery from large data sets. We put emphasis in handling of uncertainty in the whole KDD process.

The candidates must have a first degree in Computer Science/Engineering and preferably a Masters degree in a related field.

The dept. of informatics in Athens Economic & Business University is located in the center of Athens, a very active and lively city, enjoying fine and pleasant weather year around. Substantial opportunities arise with the advent of the Olympic games in 2004.
