MERIC - Gendarme forces captured on Tuesday 20 foreigners, who were
trying to proceed to Greece illegally, in Meric town of northwestern
Edirne province.

ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said
on Tuesday that no application was made for resigned Georgian President
Eduard Shevardnadze to come to Turkey.

ANKARA - Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul said
on Tuesday that they would be in an effort to develop a new strategy in
fight against terrorism as soon as possible.

ISTANBUL - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that
there was an effort in recent years to associate terrorism with Islam,
adding that he could not bear the expression 'Islamic terror'.

[06] ONE DEAD BODY PULLED FROM DEBRIS OF COAL MINE EXPLOSION
ERMENEK - One more dead body was pulled on Tuesday from debris of the
coal mine in Ermenek town of central Karaman province where a gas
explosion occurred on Saturday.
